About me

Emma Taggart - coaching introverts to succeed as leaders in an extroverted world.

I'm an introvert, executive coach and former senior management executive.

Experience taught me how exhausting and frustrating it can be to operate in an environment that seems to value leaders who talk first and think later over those who listen and reflect before acting.

My coaching practice was established in 2017 when I acquired the Institute for Leadership and Management Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.

Prior to that, for ten years I ran a consultancy to improve charity campaigning effectiveness. During that time, my work included coaching and mentoring individuals, and facilitating teams, to think clearly about how to achieve social change. My expertise was gained from a decade of in-house campaigning and communications experience, including as Director of Policy and Campaigns at Breakthrough Breast Cancer (now Breast Cancer Now).

I get a kick out of helping people better understand themselves or their situation so they can move forward in their career, have new ideas, gain confidence in themselves and show the world what they are capable of.

In my spare time I enjoy long walks in the city and countryside, reading contemporary fiction and watching stand-up comedy. I live with my partner in Tottenham, north east London.
